Hannah Dronsett and Zane Williams Named “Students of the Month”

As the first semester of school reaches its final month, two more students were recognized for their outstanding achievements in school and in extracurriculars. The two recipients for December’s “Student of the Month” were senior Hannah Dronsett and sophomore Zane Williams.

Hannah Dronsett is the daughter of Gro and Henrik Dronsett from Nesodden, Norway.

She is a member of softball, basketball, and one-act. Her favorite classes are Government and Culinary Arts.

Away from school, Hannah enjoys hanging out with friends and participating in sports. After she graduates from Leigh, she plans to return to Norway to finish high school and study to become a teacher.

Here’s what Hannah’s teachers had to say about her:

“Hannah works hard in class. Even though everything is new and different, it does not keep her from trying and working hard. In English, she has a very good grade and is catching on. She is willing to try new things and sticks those things out. She is friendly and personable. She is doing extra-curricular activities.”

“Hannah had done a great job of adjusting to school in Leigh. She is kind, friendly, and a very hard-working kid. We are glad to have her here in Leigh for the year.”

Zane Williams is the other recipient of this award. Zane is the son of Robert and Nikki Williams.

Zane participates in basketball, One-Act, FFA, and YAC.  His favorite subject is PE. In his spare time, Zane loves hunting, trapping, and working at Steve’s Madhouse Market.

After high school, Zane hopes to attend Northeast Community College to earn a Construction degree.

Here is what Zane’s teachers said about him:

“He has been working so hard in my Accounting class and his grade shows it! He is excited to learn, has a positive attitude, asks questions for clarifications, turns in quality work on time, and limits distractions. I’m very proud of how well he is doing in my class.”

“Zane is a very hard-working kid. He does best in class, works hard in his extracurriculars and is a solid employee for his job. He also has the best mullet in the high school.”
