Summer Reading:
This summer the Leigh Community School Reading Challenge will be 20 minutes 5 days a week and more if you please. You can record these minutes on the Google Form attached here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBSKhkn1EOF7UoE3kGYcQumdSZDGWr_LfChxuvDY5hRtR4sQ/viewform *** I will also attach a Virtual Bitmoji Scene on our school website where you can find all of the links.
I will also look at AR points from the summer months and these accomplishments will be celebrated along with our 2019-2020 points. Read, Read, Read!!

Go to Leigh Media and you will find a Google Slide Scene on my home page. You can click on all of the pictures to find a hidden link. On the computer it is linked to AR. The colored pencil picture on the table takes you to a how to draw Youtube video. Click on the books and listen to someone read on Youtube and then you can test. In the speech bubble above my head links to the Google Summer Reading Form. Inside of the frame on the wall there are the options of additional on your own Reading Challenges. In the purple box there will be a schoolwide read aloud by me. This would be great for older students and then they can test at the end. There will be 15 minutes worth of reading everyday of the week. This can count as 15 of your 20 minutes for the day. The dog links to National Geographic for kids. The other person in the scene with me is Mrs. Petersen. Have fun clicking on the scene because there are many more hidden gems!!
Leigh Public Library:
Kathy is willing to do curbside pick up. She is working the regular hours so you can call then and she would bag up your order. You can then pick the books up either in the entry or outside. Here is the library's contact info and hours:
