2021 Senior Spotlight: Kyleigh Rayback

By: Kayden Schumacher, a senior at Leigh High School

The gorgeous Kyleigh Sue Rayback was born to Tony and Tiffany Rayback on August 25, 2003, in Columbus, Nebraska. She has four other siblings: Payje (19), Cassi (15), Mattie (11), and Brinx (3).

Three words used to describe Kyleigh are caring, friendly, and helpful. Her favorite hobby is hanging out with friends. Kyleigh’s favorite subject in school is weights, and her favorite TV show is Criminal Minds.

Kyleigh recalled that her most embarrassing moment was hitting her head on the weights bar and giving herself a concussion. She also recalled that her favorite high school memory was riding the little scooters in the elementary gym.

Throughout her high school career, Kyleigh has been involved in many extracurricular activities. Kyleigh has participated in FCCLA for five years, softball and One-Act for four years, and she has been a member of the Youth Advisory Council for three years. Kyleigh was honored by being named 1st team All-Conference in softball. Hand in hand, her proudest high school accomplishment was getting her CNA license.

The person Kyleigh looks up to most is her mom. “She works so hard to make sure me and my siblings are happy, and she is there for me no matter what the situation is. She is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and I hope that someday I can be half the person she is” Kyleigh said.

If Kyleigh won the lottery, she would help her parents pay bills and put much of it in savings. But she would be sure to use some of it to go on vacation and buy her dream car. If Kyleigh could travel anywhere in the world, she would go to Puerto Rico. According to Kyleigh, her top three goals on her bucket list are to find the bucket, make a list, and try surfing.

Kyleigh Rayback’s future plans are to attend Northeast Community College, and she plans on majoring in Medical Assisting. Hand in hand, her proudest high school accomplishment is getting her CNA license and working in the healthcare field.  In 10-15 years, she sees herself married with kids and working somewhere she enjoys.

Kyleigh’s advice to underclassmen is to spend as much time with your friends while you can, because after graduation you don’t know how long it will be until you can see them next.

With graduation fast approaching, we wish Kyleigh the best of luck on her future endeavors!
