Ms. Vanessa Knutson Takes the Helm of Leigh FFA Chapter

By: Cassandra Rayback, a sophomore at Leigh High School

From new staff members to new students, we love to see all of the new faces walking the halls at school when school starts up again. We had many new teachers join us in Leigh this year, one being Ms. Vanessa Knutson.

Ms. Knutson is teaching 7-12 Agriculture, as well as advising the FFA chapter.

She grew up in Palmyra, Nebraska, and she graduated college from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Agriculture Education.

Before Ms. Knutson came to Leigh, she taught at Dundy County-Stratton High School. In her free time outside of school, she likes to spend time with friends and family playing card or board games. Ms. Knutson also enjoys reading as well.

When asked what she is enjoying most at Leigh so far, she said, “I am most enjoying getting to be in a new environment, getting involved in different school activities, and getting to know the teachers and students here.”

Welcome to Leigh, Ms. Knutson!
