Aiden Miller and Kaylee Brabec Win “Student of the Month”

Throughout the beginning of the school year, there have been many deserving Students of the Month at Leigh High School, and this month was no different.          

The two outstanding students for the month of November were Kaylee Brabec and Aiden Miller.

They are both first time recipients of this award. The first student of the month is senior, Aiden Miller.

Aiden is the son of Veronica Miller and Jason Moore.  Aiden participates in FFA, One-Act, and Speech. His favorite subject in school is History. Aiden would like to weld when he gets older. In his spare time, he likes working on auto body, and “making his go-cart even more dangerous and redneck.”

In school Aiden has been involved in One-Act, speech, and FFA.  After high school, he would like would like to join the Air Force, or attend Northeast Community College to earn an Associate’s Degree in Welding.

This is Aiden’s first time winning this award, and he said he was glad that he won this award. Aiden said it was an honor and a privilege.  

            Here is what Aiden’s teachers had to say about him:

            - Aiden has improved a lot over the years. Has has worked harder at getting his homework done on time and is doing a better job of being a good representative of the school. 

-He is a smart kid who has matured a lot in the past few years. He is kind to everyone and fun to have a conversation with. He has a large role in the play this year and is doing an awesome job at it.            

The second student of the month is seventh-grader Kaylee Brabec.

Kaylee is the daughter of Jake and Debbie Brabec. Kaylee’s grandparents are Charmayne Brabec and the late Gary Brabec and Jim and Joyce Kuchar. 

Kaylee participates in volleyball, basketball, FCCLA, FFA.  Her favorite subject in school is math. 

Kaylee’s hobbies are playing basketball and volleyball and playing board games. When she grows up, she wants to become a vet or a teacher. 

This is Kaylee’s first time winning this award.  

"It's not about being perfect but trying hard and helping others that counts,” Kaylee said.

Here is what Kaylee’s teachers had to say about her:

Kaylee works hard in class every day, even as she is being challenged with difficult material. She is very nice and helpful to her classmates and is always in a happy mood.   

Kaylee is a very kind and helpful student. She is always willing to assist the teacher to her classmates in any way she can.  She has a very positive attitude and fun to have in class.
