Students Compete at Northeast Quiz Bowl

On March 24th, the Quiz Bowl team traveled to Northeast Community College their annual Quiz Bowl Competition.
The students that participated for Leigh were Kanyon Held, Calvin Wemhoff, Makenna Held, Kennedy Settje, and Kyle Holmberg.
The team struggled in the first round against Norfolk Catholic High School and then just couldn’t find the answers against Pierce.
Junior Kyle Holmberg said, “This meet definitely didn't go as expected but it was a great experience and good practice for next time.”
Lutheran High Northeast was victorious in the 36-team tournament. Oakland-Craig finished runner-up.
Sponsor Mrs. Gall said, “Even though the meet was not in our favor, it was still fun getting to compete against different schools outside of our surrounding area!”
