Dalton Zulkoski and Korbee Wendt Crowned Homecoming King and Queen

Both Leigh and Clarkson announced their homecoming king and queen during coronation, which took place after the football game against Shelby-Rising City in Clarkson on Friday, September 16, 2022. 

This year’s girl candidates from Leigh were Jessica Hoffman, Sydney Reeves, Deandrea Rivera, and Korbee Wendt. The boy candidates were Dylan Brabec, Kyle Kasik, Mason Whitmore, and Dalton Zulkoski.

The 2022 crown bearers from Leigh were Hadlee Dostal, daughter of Stephanie and Kurt Dostal, and Brylen Wietfeld, son of Brent and Kacy Wietfeld.  They are both first graders at Leigh Elementary.

The 2022 girl candidates from Clarkson were Mady Janousek, Ella Kappel, Hanna Kroeger, Samantha McEvoy, and Ashly Villeda-Guillen. The boy candidates were Drew Beeson, Brayden Brabec, John Bunch, Landen Hake, Jase Indra, and Jackson Koehn.

Last year’s king and queen from Leigh, Kevin Becerril and Natalie Brabec, crowned this year’s king and queen from Leigh.

This year’s king and queen from Clarkson were Drew Beeson and Ella Kappel.

This year’s king and queen from Leigh were Dalton Zulkoski and Korbee Wendt.

Korbee Wendt was escorted by Dalton.  She is the daughter of Gary and Kandee Wendt. Her siblings are Karly, Krys, Kym and Wade.  She has participated in Volleyball, Basketball, Track, FFA, FBLA, Journalism, One-Act, Yearbook, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Korbee’s future plans are to attend Northeast Community College to become a Physical Therapy Assistant.

Dalton is the son of Kelly and Phillip Wendt and Ross Zulkoski. His siblings are Trevor, Nevaeh, Jathan, and Bryssa.  During high school Dalton has been involved in Basketball, Football, One Act, FFA, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Dalton plans to attend Wayne State College majoring in Agribusiness or Construction Management.

Jessica Hoffman was escorted by Dylan Brabec.

Jessica is the daughter of Ryan and Kelli Hoffman; her siblings are Cassidy, Elizabeth & Trevor. In High School she has participated in Yearbook, Volleyball, Journalism, Basketball, FCCLA, FBLA, National Honor Society, Youth Advisory Committee and One Act.

Jessica plans to attend Southeast Community College majoring in Business.  She plans to obtain her real estate license.

Dylan is the son of Andy and April Brabec. He has a brother Carter and a sister, Sadie.

During High School he has been involved in One Act, FFA, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Dylan’s future plans are to attend Northeast Community College or Milford majoring in Agronomy or Diesel Mechanics.

Sydney Reeves was escorted by Kyle Kasik.

Sydney is the daughter of Angie Reeves and Tyler Reeves; she has a sister Natalie.

Her high school involvement has included Softball, Volleyball, Basketball, One Act, Choir, Journalism, Yearbook, FBLA, FFA, Youth Advisory Committee and National Honor Society.

Sydney is planning to attend a four-year college with a major yet undecided.

Kyle is the son of Joseph and Heather Kasik; his siblings are Hannah, Alissa, Ava and Mariah. Throughout high school he has been involved in Football, Basketball, One-Act, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Kyle plans to attend Wayne State College or UNL, and major in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

 

 

 

Deandrea Rivera was escorted by Mason Whitmore.

Dee is the daughter of Nicole Sandoval and Adrian Zacarias and Ana Zacarius.  Her siblings are Andrew Rivera, and Josefina and Tianna Salinas.  During her high school career Dee has participated in FBLA, FCCLA, Basketball, Track, One-Act, Journalism, Yearbook, Choir, Youth Advisory Committee and Vision Board.

She plans to attend Wayne State College and major in Psychology.

Mason is the son of Kacy Wietfeld and Craig Whitmore; his siblings are Brylen, Braxen, Evan, Alexa, Karrisa and Ellica.

Throughout high school he has been involved in Football, Basketball, Golf, One Act, FFA, FCCLA, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Mason is planning to attend either Wayne State or UNL and major in Construction Management.

There was a dance held the following night in the Leigh gym for all students in grades 9-12 from both Clarkson and Leigh.  Congratulations again to this year’s King and Queen, Dalton and Korbee, as well as all the Homecoming Royalty!
