Leigh Seniors Attend Annual County Government Day

On Monday, November 14, 2022, Leigh seniors attended the annual Colfax County Government Day Event at Colfax County Courthouse in Schuyler.
The schools that were involved on this day were Leigh, Clarkson, Schuyler, and Howells-Dodge. On this day, students were split into groups and were given a tour of all the positions that were in the courthouse. During this time they were given information about each position and were also given a note sheet to fill out information as they went.
For lunch, they went to the Fraternal Order of Eagles to enjoy a lunch provided by them while also being talked to by the VFW.
To end the day, they went back to the courthouse to watch a mock trial held by Howells-Dodge students.
