Students Attend Choral Clinic
Recently students were able to represent Clarkson and Leigh for the fourth year on January 9th, 2023, at the Boone Central Choral Clinic Concert, with Greg Woodin as guest clinician. 14 students from Clarkson-Leigh participated in this annual event. About 250 students from 12 area schools were registered for the clinic this year.
The participants from Leigh were Lillian Bunner, Paige Kurpgeweit, Sydney Messerlie, Keeley Campbell, Amaiya Ross, and Gabe Pinkston.
The participants from Clarkson were Hazel Mundt, Jerzzi Mapel, Trinity Eggerman, Ashly Guillen, Rosslyn Guillen, Teagan Baumert, Otto Crecco, and Coal Fernau.
Participant Lillian Bunner said, “I loved going to Boone Central this year because we learned a lot of new techniques from our choir director, and we got to sing with new people from different schools!”
Clarkson-Leigh’s choir director, Cindy Settje, said, “It is so much fun to watch the students who attended and how they are growing in their musical abilities. They had the opportunity to sing along with 250 other students from across Nebraska. Not only is it a learning experience, but the social aspect of singing with other students is also important.”
The concert can be viewed on Boone Central’s Strive.
