JH Track Finishes Busy Week at Lyons
The JH Track team’s season is in full swing. After competing in a meet on April 18, the headed to another meet just two days later on April 20 held in Lyons.
At the Lyons Decatur track meet there were a total of 13 teams that competed. The 7th grade girls finished 11th overall, while the 8th grade girls placed second overall.
The 7th grade boys placed 8th overall, and the 8th grade boys placed 4th. West Point-Beemer took first in all grades except 7th grade boys where Oakland-Craig won.
“The Lyons-Decatur meet is always an important meet for us. It has 13 teams there and a lot of good competition,” said JH track coach Mr. Andy Bachman. “The weather was not cooperative, but our kids still worked hard and competed. The 8th grade girls had a great day, finishing in 2nd place overall, and the boys had several good marks as well.”
