Golfers Take 4th at Steepleview
The Patriot golf team was back in action once again for the St. Francis invite held at Steepleview Golf Course in Humphrey.
On Thursday, April 27, 2023, the varsity competed against St. Francis, Norfolk Catholic, Howells-Dodge, Twin River, Riverside, Boone Central, Osceola/Cross County, Lutheran High NE, Shelby/Rising City and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
The Patriots finished in 4th out of 11 total teams.
Dexter Indra shot the low score for the Patriots with 90, finishing 11th overall individually. Mic Sayers finished 15th with a score of 92.
Rounding out the Patriot Varsity was Jase Indra with 95, Ryan Brichacek with 96, and Quentin Mullenhoff with 103.
Freshman golfer Mullenhoff said, “Thursday was a nice day for 18 holes of golf. It was a great experience for all of us. We never go back home without room to improve.”
Head Coach Connor Blum said, “We had an up and down day, but overall I was happy with the results. We have some work to do, but I like the direction that we are going.”
