Kindergarten Round Up is a Success!
Launch the media gallery 1 player25 incoming Kindergarteners and their families had the opportunity to attend Kindergarten Round Up at Leigh Elementary on April 28, 2023.
The students all came with mixed emotions, with everything from excited, to nervous, to shy, but as soon as they walked out of the elementary, they had the biggest smiles on their faces. They were all very excited to become a big kid in Kindergarten next year.
Even though their time together was short, they still were able to complete many activities. During their time together, the students were split into groups for social emotional play, listening to a story, and showing off their fine motor skills by writing their names, coloring, and writing letters.
Another fun feature this year was getting to have their picture taken signing their “letters of intent” for Kindergarten just like future college athletes do!
Kindergarten teacher Michkayla Wietfeld said, "I am excited to watch the 2023-2024 students grow, learn, and succeed in Kindergarten!"
