VB Sweeps the Jags

After coming off a successful weekend at the Centennial Tourney, the Patriot Volleyball team traveled to Howells Dodge on Tuesday, August 29. 

To begin the night, the C teams kicked off their season with a win against the Jaguars. 

Following the C team game, the JV team also played their first game of the season. The first set was a back-to-back battle, with the Patriots pulling away 26-24. 

In the second and third set the JV came up short, losing 23-25 and 9-15. 

Concluding the night, the varsity team came ready to play. They started out the first set a little slow, but ended up pulling away and winning 25-17.

With high energy the Patriots were in control of the second set and dominated the Jaguars 25-9. To complete the sweep, the Patriots defeated Howells Dodge in the third set 25-18. 

Junior outside hitter, Brynn Settje said, “The Howells Dodge game was a great game for all of us. We had a great crowd that came and supported us. We all played really well together and we’re all having a great time on the court.”

“The volleyball teams had great games against Howells Dodge this week. The varsity had a dominating performance with a strong sweep. It was a great night and I'm looking forward to continuing with a strong season! Go Pats!!” said assistant coach, Mrs. Brianne Bachman.

After the game on Tuesday the Patriots sit 5-0 on the season!
