Cyclones Pick Up Back-to-Back Wins

After a rocky start to the season, the Highway 91 Cyclones picked up back-to-back wins.  They took on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at Dodge on Thursday night, August 31.  After getting down 0-1 after the first inning, the Patriots gained the lead in the second inning and never looked back, picking up the 6-3 win.

Senior Cassandra Rayback said, “We knew going into the game that we could beat LVSS after losing to them by one in the Wisner tournament. We hit the ball well and got on top right away. We played solid defense all 7 innings and continued to hit the ball. Overall, it was a fun-filled game with lots of excitement.”

After the Labor Day break, they came back firing in an away game against South Sioux City on September 5. In this game, they defeated the 1-10 Cardinals with a score of 15-4. This brings their season record to 3-8.
