Patriots Sweep the Bulldogs!

The Clarkson-Leigh Patriot Volleyball players had a decisive win against the 8-1 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs on Thursday, September 14th in Leigh.

For the varsity game, the first set was a close one, but ended 25-23 in favor of the Patriots.

After keeping the first set close, the Bulldogs broke down in the second and third sets.  The second set ended with a battle 25-18. Finally, the third set ended in 25-15 for a Patriot sweep!

It was a balanced attack for the Patriots with many payers contributing kills.  Chloe Hanel led the team with 18 kills.  Izzy Hollatz added 8, Brynn Settje added 6, and Tanyn Larson and Baylee Settje chipped in 4 apiece.

Head Coach Becky Schneider said, “The HLHF match was a fun one for sure!  We knew they would be scrappy and competitive, and push us out of our comfort zone a little bit, but we knew we could beat them!  We have a strong, balanced offense and we're pretty solid on defense so we were able to play with a lot of confidence! We have a lot of season left and we are taking it one game at a time!”

The Patriots record is now 12-0!
