Pats Take Down the Flyers
The Lady Pats hit the road and traveled to Humphrey on October 5 to take on the Humphrey St. Francis Flyers for their final game during Homecoming Week.
The combined C and JV team played a three-set match against the Flyers to open up the night. The Patriots took the first two sets easily 25-14 and 25-9. In the third set the Patriots unfortunately fell short 13-15.
To conclude the night, the varsity came out ready to play and took the first set from the Flyers 25-11. The Patriots kept their offense rolling and easily won the second set 25-5. Finally, the Patriots took the third set 25-12 to make it a sweep!
Izzy Hollatz led the team with 3 aces and 25 assists. Senior Chloe Hanel also led the team by throwing up 4 blocks and 18 kills!
Senior right-side hitter Tanyn Larson said, “We all came together well and played a great game. There was a ton of excitement the entire night as well as a lot of new things tried on the court. This game was a great game to play leading into the Conference Tournament!”
“The girls really took care of business from the first serve until the last kill. It was nice to see us control our side of the court and play Patriot Volleyball,” said assistant coach, Tyler Brester.
