Golfers Head to Pender
The Clarkson-Leigh golf team took to the links at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Pender on Saturday, placing 5th as a team out of 7 teams, shooting 385. Pender won the meet with a team score of 340.
For the Patriots, after 18 holes, Wyatt Crosley golfed a 93, Mic Sayers shot 92, Ryan Bricachek shot 91, Parker Sayers finished with 109, and Simon Wemhoff shot 117. Ryan placed 12th out of the total 47 golfers that competed on Saturday.
Head Coach Connor Blum said, “The boys battled the cold and the wind throughout the day, which made golfing difficult and unpleasant at times. We golfed well, but there is still room for us to improve as a team. We're ready to get back out and keep competing”.
Senior Simon Wemhoff said, “It was a little cold outside, but it was a fun day of golf.”
