Cyclones Lose Both in Triangular at Wahoo
The Highway 91 Cyclone softball team played tough teams from the top of Class C in a triangular on Tuesday, August 28. They Varsity went up against Wayne and Bishop Neumann in Wahoo. They lost to Wayne with a score of 0-15 and lost to Bishop Neumann 2-15.
Bishop Neumann had a 6-1 record, and Wayne had an undefeated record coming into this game.
“Overall I think we battled well, but the outcome definitely wasn’t what we hoped for,” said Rylee Olson, a sophomore at Leigh High School. “Both of these teams have a lot of talent, but we need to keep working hard because we will see them again at districts.”
These two losses drop the Cyclones’ record to 3-9 on the season.
