Senior Spotlight: Cameron Miller

Not only was May 17th the 20th Thursday of 2001, but it was also the day Cameron Michael Miller was born. Cameron was born in Manteca, California to parents Veronica Miller and Jason Moore. Cameron is the oldest of four children in his family. Aiden is 14, Emily is 12, and James is 10. Winston, a mastiff, completes the family.

Throughout high school, Cameron has been involved in FFA, One Act, and Band for four years and Speech for one year. He has also earned the honors of being the “Reading Hall of Fame Leader” for two years, been in the 10,000-page reading club for two years, and was also awarded the Silver Presidential Award. Even with all of these honors, Cameron’s proudest high school accomplishment is being the only senior to take classes in the weight room.

After graduation, Cameron plans to attend Northeast Community College for a Nursing Major. If he was fortunate enough to win the lottery, he would spoil his friends and family, and put the rest into the bank to accumulate interest. He would also like to travel too Ireland because he has roots there.

Cameron’s biggest pet peeve is when people are ignorant and try to argue an invalid argument. He also doesn’t like people touching him.

In 10-15 years, Cameron sees himself with a family, a house, and a solid job that pays well. Three goals on Cameron’s bucket list are traveling to different parts of the world, owning a nice house, and maybe skydiving, but he says that is kind of scary.

Cameron admires his dad because he taught Cameron to be a man and how to be successful every day.

Cameron’s favorite high school memory is spending time with his friends and classmates, joking around, laughing, and having fun. Outside of school, he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, drinking tea, cruising around, and hanging out with his friends.

Some more of Cameron’s favorites include social studies as his favorite subject, the new Halloween movies as his favorite movie, the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series as his favorite books, and “Anything Made” by Avatar and Hopsin as his favorite song. His favorite sports teams are the 49’ers and the Houston Rockets. He also enjoys eating at Taco Bell.

Cameron’s most embarrassing moment in high school was when he had a rip in his pants, but wasn’t aware until late in the day.

If Cameron has any advice for underclassmen, it’s this: “C’s get degrees. ‘Nuff said.”

We wish Cameron the best of luck with his future endeavors!
