Former Husker Aaron Davis Speaks to Leigh Students
By: Jacob Martensen, a freshman at Leigh High School
Aaron Davis, motivational speaker and former Cornhusker football player, spoke to Leigh students and students from various other high schools across the state of Nebraska on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
This opportunity was made available via a live Zoom broadcast through CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organizations).
A total of 10 Leigh students were able to listen to this hour-long speech in Ms. Remmereid’s classroom, including a mix of FBLA, FCCLA, and FFA members.
The speech gave students the opportunity to reflect on their leadership skills and the ways as they can amplify positivity as leaders.
FBLA sponsor Ms. Jennifer Remmereid said, "Aaron Davis has so much energy and is a great role model. He had a great message about overcoming the negativity of the pandemic and how everyone, even teenagers, can make a positive difference in their communities right now."
