Loseke Places Third at Humphrey Speech Invite

The LHS Speech Team had their second meet of the year in Humphrey on Febr. 13, 2021.
The speech team this year consists of Emily Loseke, Alicia Holmberg, Aiden Miller, Albert Diaz, Leah Pinkston, Aubrie Hanna, Tanyn Larson, Macy Clausen, Cassandra Rayback, Sage Fernau, and Taya Hambleton.
In this very large meet, senior Emily Loseke was still able to crack the finals and ended up placing third in Informative Speaking.
“It was a very tough meet with a lot of competition,” Coach Shelby Paprocki said. “And for it being Emily’s first time performing her speech after not competing the week before, she did amazing, placing 3rd overall. This was huge and made the long day worth it.”
Many other speakers earned Superior Ratings.
Freshman Macy Clausen said, “I am still really new to speech, so I was very nervous. Although I didn't make it to finals, I personally had a great experience and I was pleased with how I did!”
