Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight: Aiden Miller

By: Natalie Brabec, a senior at Leigh High School

On August 2, 2004, it was a beautiful day in Manteca, California Aiden Joseph Miller was born.  Aiden is the son of Veronica Miller and Jason Moore.

Aiden’s family includes his brother Cameron Miller (20), Emily Moore (15), and James Moore (12). His grandparents are Marylin Moore of Modesto, California; Patrica Seweel of Manteca, California; and Alton Miller of Modesto, California. His family would not be complete without his dog, Lucy, and their cat, Mookers.

While in high school, Aiden has been involved in FFA and Speech for four years and One-Act for three years.  Aiden has seen great success in the fine arts.  Last year, he was a state speech qualifier in Extemporaneous, and this year he won acting awards at conference, districts, and state in One-Act.

Aiden says the three words that best describe him are carefree, idealistic, and stubborn.  Aiden is usually one to go with the flow at school and get along with everyone.

Aiden says he doesn’t know his proudest high school accomplishment because he “didn’t really think he would make it this far!”

Someone who has a big impact on Aiden’s life is his father because he taught Aiden all of the skills that he needs in life.  Aiden says he is grateful his father has helped him and guided him all through life.

Some of Aiden’s favorite things to do include working at his job at Platte Valley, and working on his family’s four-wheelers and his race lawn mower. His favorite subject in school is History. If Aiden has some free time, you can find him watching Walking Dead or Event Horizon, listening to “My Sacrifice” by Creed, watching his favorite sports team, the Oakland A’s, or eating at his favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. On any given day, you can find Aiden wearing his favorite shoes, his Converse.

Aiden would like to point out that there’s hope for everyone, as he was “not the smartest person during his early days of high school.”  He recalled one time he was promised some money by classmate Zane Williams to spray Febreeze in his mouth. Aiden automatically did it because money was involved, but Zane was not very trustworthy and never paid Aiden.

Aiden’s future college plans are still up in the air, but he is deciding between diesel tech or welding.

In 10-15 years, Aiden says he hopes to be living with his family in a house he owns in the country and hopefully investing in some real estate.  Aiden also hopes to visit foreign countries all over the world, especially the Slavic countries.

If Aiden won the lottery, he says he would buy a big house for his family, travel, then start a charity for sick and hungry children.  He also says it is on his bucket list to own a 2-door ’79 Cadillac El Dorado.

Aiden’s says his best words of wisdom to underclassmen before he leaves LHS would be: “Do as I say, not as I do. Do your homework on time.”

We wish Aiden the best of luck as he embarks on new adventures after high school!
