JVs Shut Out the Tigers
In their third game of the season, the JV football team went home with a big W against East Butler. This brings their record to 2-1 after previously defeating Stanton and losing to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge .
The game took place in Dwight on Monday, September 12 at 6 pm. The Patriots put up 8 points in the first quarter and 22 points in second quarter, making it 30-0 heading into halftime.
Despite a scoreless third quarter and scoring only 6 points in the fourth quarter, the JV squad held off the Tigers, finishing the game with a score of 36-0.
“It was a fun game and a nice win for our group. We got contributions from all players and it is fun to see the growth of the team,” JV coach Mr. Jeff Bachman said.
“The older, more experienced guys put in a lot of hard work to get a big lead by half time. This gave the younger players a chance to see a lot of time on the field in the second half,” junior Jack Brabec said of the game.
