48 Preschoolers Ready for School!

It’s going to be a fun year in Pre-K with 48 little faces every day!

The LCS preschool classes began their school year on Monday, August 21!

Mrs. Tiffany Cash and Mrs. Annie Bahns are the two preschool teachers at Leigh this year.  Mrs. Cash has 20 students in her morning preschool class and 14 students in her afternoon class. Mrs. Bahns teaches an afternoon preschool class and has 14 students this year!

There are also two great paraprofessionals helping in the PreK, with Mrs. Kelsey Hake helping with the morning class and Mrs. Tara Urban aiding in the afternoon.

The morning classes are for students ages 3-4, and the afternoon classes are ages 4-5.

Mrs. Tiffany Cash said, “The beginning of a new school year is always full of excitement. I love seeing our students back in the building, while also welcoming our newest little Patriots. With these first few days, our students have been exploring their classroom and getting to know each other. We have been learning new songs and enjoying fun read alouds. Some of their favorite books have been Pete the Cat, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. We have also begun learning about the alphabet, and sharpening our math skills with fun games. It is a privilege to teach our youngest learners!”

Mrs. Annie Bahns said, “I always tell my students ‘Keep believing in yourself you will be amazing!’ This is something that from day one of 3-year preschool I have been telling my students when life is just too much for their little minds! This year has started off amazing! The students have grown over the summer and it has been such a great thing for our classroom. It may only be the first week of school, and I most definitely don't want to jinx it, but in all seriousness, my students are rocking preschool life!”

We can’t wait to see the newest Patriots succeed, and we wish them all the best of luck with the new school year!
