FFA Chapter Recieves $1,000 Sponsorship

Tammi Grotelueschen (far left) and Randy Svehla (far right) of Farm Credit Services of America present a $1,000 sponsorship check to Leigh-Clarkson FFA chapter officers Korbin Kudera, Garrett Schroeder, Anthony Bruhn, and Haden Held, and their chapter advisor, Mrs. Brandy Held (center). The sponsorship is to help cover expenses for FFA members to attend the national FFA convention in Indianapolis.

The Leigh/Clarkson FFA Chapter was recently awarded a $1,000 sponsorship by Farm Credit Services of America to help students attend the 2017 National FFA Convention and Expo on October 25-28.

The National Convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The convention offers a lineup of national speakers and entertainers, leadership workshops, and agriculture-related tours and education.

The $1,000 sponsorship helps FFA chapters defer the cost of traveling to Indianapolis.  The sponsorship is part of a random drawing in which FFA chapters in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming are encouraged to register for their chance to win.

“At FCSAmerica, we take pride in supporting FFA and its members,” said Amy Blomenberg, vice president of retail operations at FCSAmerica’s Columbus office.  “Through this sponsorship, we hope to help the next generation learn and grow as agribusiness leaders and producers.”
