Cyclones Defeated in Tough Triangular
Coming off the Labor Day break, on Tuesday, September 3, the Cyclones played a tough triangular against two top teams: Wayne and Bishop Neumann.
During the first game the Cyclones played Wayne. They struggled playing outfield and didn’t get much for run when it came to batting. They fell short in three innings and got run-ruled. They lost 0-12.
In the second game the Cyclones put up more of a battle and scored two runs in the first inning. But in the fourth and fifth inning, the Bishop Neumann Cavaliers scored big points to beat the Cyclones 7-3.
Senior Natalie Reeves said, "We started the Bishop Neumann game on a high note. As the game continued on, we lost our mojo and Bishop Neumann used that to their advantage. For the Wayne game we came with a better mentality after a tough loss. The night didn't go as planned, but we will work to get better for the end of the season."
Head Coach Adam Indra said “The Wayne/Wahoo Bishop Neumann triangular is the end of our really tough schedule to start the season. We played at a high level against Bishop Neumann and did a lot of good things. Had one inning that we did not execute and it cost us. Saw a lot of positives and look forward to our middle part of our schedule.”
