Wrestlers Compete at Osceola
The Patriot wrestlers headed to Osceola on Saturday December 9th for an invite.
The teams that competed there were Elkhorn Valley, Fillmore Central, Neligh-Oakdale, Pleasanton, High Plains Community, Yutan, Fullerton, Howells-Dodge, Nebraska Christian, Palmer, Central Valley, East Butler, Cross County/Osceola, Axtell, Southern, Creighton, Dorchester, Southwest, Newman Grove, Harvard, and Lawrence-Nelson.
Senior wrestler Andrew Rivera said, “Osceola was a nice tournament with a lot of good teams there for our wrestlers to have a chance to wrestle and learn.”
Elkhorn Valley won the tournament with 140 team points.
For the Patriots, Morgan Bunner led the team going 3-0 on the day. Levi Anderson went 1-4, Beau Baumert went 0-2, Wyatt Langhorst went 0-2, Brett Wemhoff went 0-3, Levi Gall went 4-1, and Andrew Rivera went 2-2 for the day.
Head coach Tyler Reeves said, “This year has had an unexpected start, but the team is looking better once the wrestlers get down to their desired weight.”
