The Leigh High School Students of the Month for November have been announced!
They are senior Neveah Zulkoski, and juniors Vylet Hollatz and Reese Wietfeld!
Neveah is the daughter of Kelly Wendt, Phillip Wendt, Ross Zulkoski, and Rebecca
Zulkoski. Her grandparents are Jerry and Kathy Bierman of Columbus, the late Kenneth and
Elenor Zulkoski of Columbus, Rick and Lori Wendt of Leigh, the late Jim and Rite Kouba of
Bruno, and J.C and Sue Givens or Kimberly, Idaho.
Neveah is involved in basketball, softball, FCCLA, FFA, One-Act, and journalism. Her
favorite subject is American history.
In her free time, Nevaeh likes to hang out with her friends and family, play cards, and
complete puzzles. Her future plans are to become a veterinarian and attend Northeast
Community College.
When asked how she feels about receiving the award she said, “I feel seen; all of my
work is not going unnoticed.”
“Nevaeh is always a hard worker and a great person to have in class. She has been
rocking the two college credit math classes she is taking. She is also a leader of our school and
cares very deeply for everyone, not just in the school, but the community,” Nevaeh’s teachers
said.
Vylet is the daughter of Willie and Kylie Hollatz. Her grandparents are Dave and Joan
Hollatz of Creston and Jim and Lanette Bathen of David City.
She participates in volleyball, basketball, track, FCCLA, FBLA, one act, journalism, and
yearbook. Her favorite subject in school is any FCS class.
