New Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Katie Rieck

This school year, Leigh Community Schools is grateful to welcome Mrs. Katie Rieck to the LCS staff as an elementary paraprofessional.

            Mrs. Rieck was born and raised in the Tekamah/Craig area. Where she had been an elementary para at Tekamah-Herman Schools for several years. Recently she and her husband (Jake) and their two girls moved back to Jake’s hometown of Leigh.

            Living on a farm outside of Leigh, she and her family enjoy hanging out as a family, whether that’s just checking cows or crops, playing board games, or exploring outside.

            Rieck said “I was pretty nervous about moving away from my family and everything I knew, but the school, staff, students and church members in this community have been very welcoming which has made the transition go so smoothly!”

            Mrs. Rieck is excited to continue this career path here at Leigh Community Schools and she is a great addition to the staff here at Leigh. We are incredibly grateful to have her in our school!
