Patriots Down the Panthers

The Clarkson-Leigh Patriots are now 2-1 after their huge win against the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers on Friday night, September 8 in Clarkson.

This big game also happened to be Parents’ Night for the football boys, as well as girls’ golf, cheer, and dance team.

To finish with such an emphatic Parents’ Night victory, the Pats’ defense took it to Bancroft, leaving them unable to get on the board.

The Patriots had 6 touchdowns with the score being 44-0. The Patriots had a total of 279 yards, all being rushing yards. They were led by senior Dylan Higby, who racked up 129 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns.  The defense had 41 total tackles, one sack, and an interception.

Coach Jim Clarkson said, “Friday’s game against Bancroft-Rosalie was our most complete game so far this season. I really thought our defense cranked it up to another level.”

“I feel like we played a really great game. We played at our level of physicality, which really let us to control the game. It was a fun night and a great chance to get our younger guys some reps,” said senior Jordan Noonan.
