Cyclones Lose Back-to-Back Home Games

The Cyclone softball team played two back-to-back home games in Leigh on Monday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 19.

Unfortunately, the girls couldn’t find a victory in either game.  On Monday, they battled North Bend, who had an 8-12 record entering the match.

The JV team lost by run rule.  The varsity kept the score close, but ended up losing 10-12.

Freshman Rebecca Hastreiter said, “We fought and held the North Bend Tigers for several innings but we just couldn't hold them enough. We learned a lot for future games.”

Freshman Reese Bruhn said, “It was a close, well fought game by both teams that showed us different things that we can work on.”

On September 19, it was the Cyclones Parents’ Night when they played David City Aquinas Catholic. DCA was 15-5 entering the matchup. The Varsity game was really close for the first few innings, but then Davis City pulled away, and the Cyclones ended up losing with a score of 3-16. JV also lost with a score of 2-14.

The Cyclones’ record is currently 4-16.
