Jr/Sr High Christmas Concert Held

The Clarkson and Leigh music groups were ready to sing and play their hearts out at the annual JH/HS Winter Music Concert. The concert was held December 17th at 7 pm in the Clarkson Gym.
The concert started out with the High School Band playing “Happy Christmas” and “Winter Wonderland.”
Following the band was the Leigh Junior High Choir with “Little Drummer Boy” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” and the Clarkson Junior High Choir with “Sing We All Noel” and “We Need a Little Christmas.”
Next would be the Junior High Band. They played “The Name’s Claus… Santa Claus” and a “Holiday Shortcut” featuring “Sleigh Ride,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” and “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.”
Finally, the concert was closed out with the high school choir singing “Mary Did You Know,” “One Bright Star,” and “Hallelujah.”
Deandrea Rivera, a junior at Leigh said “The concert was definitely a fun time that we all had together, even if it wasn't how we planned it! During this time, we were able to bring families together and get them in the Christmas spirit!”
Cindy Settje, Leigh and Clarkson Choir teacher said, “I really enjoyed the concert. We did not get to practice a lot in December because of other school activities, so I was a little worried, but the students really stepped it up the last couple of days and got the songs memorized. It was great to hear the seniors perform together on ‘Hallelujah.’”
