In this Varsity-only meet, Brianne Kuhr placed third in Humorous and fifth in Extemporaneous. Gabriel Pinkston received third in Poetry.
When asked about the EHC Speech Meet, sophomore Ella Urban said, “Overall, this meet was one last great opportunity to practice and get feedback to make our speeches better for districts.”
LHS speech coach Mrs. Robin Urban stated, “The EHC Speech Meet is a very competitive conference meet. Everyone competed at the varsity level. It was great to see that as a group we are ready for this type of competition. Brianne Kuhr came out with two medals, placing 3rd in Humorous Prose and 5th in Extemporaneous. Gabriel Pinkston also came out earning a 3rd place medal in Poetry.”
Freshman Luke Eisenmann said, “We are a young team, so this was the first time most of us competed in varsity, so we faced some strong competition. We didn’t get all the placings we wanted, but we learned a lot from this meet.”
