Cyclones Drop Road Game to LVSS

The Highway 91 Cyclones played in an exciting game against LVSS on September 4th in Scribner. The final score of the game was 4-9 with LVSS taking the win.

The Cyclones’ pitching is getting better, with very few walks this game, but that wasn’t enough to keep the Raiders from outscoring the Cyclones.

Junior, Rylee Olson, said, “It was a tough loss, but I think overall we played well. The early runs from the other team didn’t help. We struggled a few times throughout the game, but I think it was a good learning experience for our team.”

Right away in the first inning, LVSS scored by sending four batters home, making it tough for the Cyclones to catch up. They also scored one in the second inning and an additional four more in the third inning.

This did not stop the Cyclones from battling back and scoring a total of four runs in the 4th and 5th innings. They made a great effort, but just couldn’t catch up to LVSS.

The Cyclones were disappointed with the outcome of the game, but overall, they played hard and are excited to play the next upcoming games.

The cyclones record drops to 5-6 with this loss.
