EHC Golf Held in Pender
The Patriot girls’ golf team had a big day in Pender on Monday, September 25th. This was after thunderstorms pushed the meet back from Saturday to Monday.
The results of the meet were Clarkson/Leigh placing 5th with a team score of 507 after 18 holes. Our individual players scores were for the Varsity team were Emilie Hajek with 113, Brianne Kuhr with a 132, Emily Stender with a 119, Halle Korth with a 146, and Sophia Morfeld shooting 143.
For the JV team, Ella Urban finished at 153, Paige Kurpgeweit shot 141, Rosie Villeda Guillen shot 143, Shaleigh McAllister also finished 153, and Hadley Dlouhy finished at 149.
Coach Held said, “Although it is a rough course, we got our first individual medalist of the year with Emilie Hajek placing 7th overall.
Junior Emily Stender said, “The Pender golf meet was a good meet to challenge all of us. Since it was conference, we had a varsity team and a JV team. We all put forth our utmost effort to do our best. “
