Girls Golf Defeats Schuyler
The Patriot Girls’ Golf team took the team of 14 golfers to Schuyler for a dual in Schuyler against the Schuyler varsity and JV teams on Tuesday, September 26th.
The Patriot girls golf varsity team beat Schuyler by three strokes, 263-266.
The golfers that competed were Delanie Erwin, Emilie Hajek, Emily Stender, Brianne Kuhr, Sophie Morfeld, Halle Korth, Ella Urban, Paige Kurpgeweit, Rosie Villeda-Guillen, Shaleigh McAllister, Hadley Dlouhy, Sofia Hake, Lexis Gleason, and Alisyn Lich.
Junior Ella Urban said, “It was a great meet to finish out the season for some of our golfers. The course was nice and it was a great way to practice. The weather was in our favor to be able to have a great golf meet.”
The varsity team consisted of Delanie Erwin scoring a 66, Emilie Hajek shooting 59, Emily Stender 65, Brianne Kuhr 73, and Sophie Morfeld shooting a 74.
“I felt Schuyler went well,” Coach Held said. “Our team won the dual and we had numerous golfers in the top 10.”
