Annual FFA Banquet and Member Auction Held
On Monday, April 23, the Leigh-Clarkson FFA Banquet was held in the Leigh High School gym.
The chapter honored members that received their Greenhand, Chapter, and State degrees. Proficiency winners at district and state level were announced. Member academic excellence was also recognized.
Receiving the Honorary Chapter Degree was Don and Orma Tyser and M&M Market.
Mr. Tyser also received a photo album of all of the pictures that were on his “Wall of Fame” up in the Ag classroom.
At the end of the banquet, the chapter held a member auction where FFA members were “sold” to other people to work for them and fundraise money for the chapter.
Mrs. Brandy Held, FFA advisor, says, “I felt that the banquet went very well. It's great to have so much support from both the Leigh and Clarkson communities along with parents. It is also great to be able to recognize member achievements in front of their families.”
New officers were also announced for next year. Holly Kuhr was named President, and Logan Becher was Vice-President.
