Patriot Wrestling Competes at Pierce and Wisner-Pilger Meets
Over Christmas break the Patriot Wrestling team had two meets. They traveled to Pierce on December 29. On Saturday, January 5, the boys travelled to Wisner.
Of the three who wrestled, all medalled at one of the meets. Senior John Langhorst medalled at both, finished 3rd at Pierce and 2nd at Wisner-Pilger. Brock Marxsen finished 4th at Pierce. Colby Harney finished 4th at Wisner Pilger.
“The Pierce tournament provided a good challenge for our team after the break, and they did a good job stepping up to the challenge,” Langhorst said. “Wisner was a slower tournament and more of the same for the team. Everyone there competed well.”
“Pierce was a tough holiday tournament, but it was nice to have John back and getting back into shape,” Head Coach Tyler Reeves said. “Everyone wrestled pretty solid. Wisner only had 2 boys compete but both wrestled tough. Every week we are seeing improvement.”
