FFA District LDE’s

Although things were done a little differently this year, the Leigh FFA Chapter didn’t let that stop them from competing their best at District LDE’s. Due to COVID, District LDE’s were held virtually on December 7th and 14th. The Leigh FFA Chapter had a very successful first year of LDE’s as a Chapter.
Makenna Held, president of Leigh FFA and a junior, as well as a state qualifier said, "District LDE's went very well for our chapter. I know we have quite a few competitors who have advanced to the state competition, and even though it was virtual, we all made the most of it. I was involved in Natural Resource Speaking, and I learned a lot of new things about my topic, which was solar and wind energy. I'm excited to move onto the next round in April, and I can't wait to see how our chapter competes at the state level!"

Creed Speaking- Taya Hambelton: District 2 Champion and State Qualifier, Jordan Noonan: Blue
Natural Resources- Makenna Held: 2nd Purple and State Qualifier
Cooperative Speaking- Natalie Brabec: 3rd Place Blue
Extemp Speaking- Aiden Miller: 2nd Purple and State Qualifier Senior
Public Speaking- Alissa Kasik: Blue, Audie Tejkl: Blue Junior
Public Speaking- Sydney Reeves: 4th Place Purple Senior
Parli Pro- Dalton Zulkoski, Mason Whitmore, Dylan Brabec, Jackson Mullenhoff, Korbee Wendt, Sydney Reeves: Blue
Ag Demonstration- Leigh 1- Maddie Noonan, Layne Krutz, Justine Thompson: Red, Leigh 2- Kanyon Held, Zane Williams, Jacob Eisenmann, Logan Schroeder, Trevor Zulkoski: Red
