Students Have Fun for FFA Week!

By: Jared Olson, freshman, and Logan Schroeder, senior

This past week of February 21-25 was National FFA Week, and the students of the local Leigh chapter had a good time celebrating.

On Monday, there was a logo hunt where students went and found the 30 FFA logos hidden around the school and received candy from FFA advisor Ms. Knutson if they found them.

On Tuesday it was the jar count with cotton balls, screws, and noodles. Whoever guessed it the closest won a prize.

On Wednesday the FFA officers prepared and served a full breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs to the whole high school, and it was great!

Thursday everybody wore their FFA swag. Friday was alternate vehicle day, In total, 9 FFA members participated in this, and there were 6 tractors, 2 four-wheelers, and one semi parked in the school parking lot.

“This year’s FFA Week was another successful one in the books,” FFA Chapter President Madison Noonan said. “From the officers making breakfast on Wednesday to the members driving tractors to school on Friday, it was really fun!  We truly appreciate all the participation the whole school had celebrating agriculture this week.”
