Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight: Logan Schroeder

By: Paige Kurpgeweit, a freshman at Leigh High School

This week’s senior spotlight for the LHS Class of 2022 is none other than Logan Levi Schroeder.

Logan was born on October 10, 2003, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Ron and Sharon Schroeder. He has one sibling, Lexi Schroeder, age 20.  His grandparents are Shirley and Cornelius Schroeder and Lorraine and the late Ray Ortmeier. He also has a dog named Jake, a beagle.

Logan says the three best words to describe him would be “hard-working, funny, and resourceful.”  He does say he has one bad habit of procrastination.

Throughout high school, Logan has participated in FFA, One-Act, and basketball for four years, and golf for one year. He is also a member of the Leigh Youth Advisory Committee.

Logan’s proudest high school accomplishment has been “Making state in One-Act two years,” he says.  Logan won various acting awards in One-Act over the years, and he also won “Student of the Month.”

Logan says his most embarrassing moment in high school was putting on a dress for One-Act his sophomore year.

His favorite high school memory is seeing the whole Leigh gym filled with people during boys’ sub-district basketball this year.

Logan’s future college plans are to go to the Northeast Community College for Automotive Technology.

His three goals on his bucket list are buying a house in Leigh, going skiing, and going to Vegas. His favorite hobbies are fishing, work, and hunting. Someone Logan admires is his parents because they work hard to provide for him and are good parents and have raised him well.

In 10-15 years, he sees himself in living in Leigh, married, and working in town somewhere.

Some of Logan’s favorite things include the movie Dazed and Confused the TV show That 70’s show. His favorite subject in school is Life Skills, his favorite food is pizza, his favorite restaurant is Raisin’ Canes, and his favorite sports team is the Huskers.

If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would go to Vegas to gamble.  If he won the lottery, he says he would go to Vegas, buy a house, and pay for college.

Before Logan leaves Leigh High School, His advice to underclassmen would be “Have fun now because you can’t live in your parents’ house forever.”

We wish Logan good luck, and we hope that he succeeds in all of his endeavors!
