Golfers Finish 5th in Pender
On April 24, 2023, the Clarkson-Leigh Varsity Boys Golf team headed to Pender for a Varsity-only tournament with the top five golfers on the team competing. 11 total teams were at the tournament.
Ryan Brichacek, Mic Sayers, Jase Indra, Quentin Mullenhoff, and Dexter Indra competed.
Shooting the lowest was Ryan Brichacek with a 93. He finished 18th out of 47 total golfers. Next best was Quentin Mullenhoff with a 94, finishing 22nd. Scoring the next lowest was Dexter Indra with a 96, followed by Jase Indra shooting a 99, and Mic Sayers scoring a 100.
The teams they competed against were Bancroft-Rosalie, Logan View, Lyons-Decatur NE, North Bend Central, Oakland-Craig, Pender Red, Pender White, South Sioux City, Tekamah-Herman, and Winnebego.
The Patriots finished 5th overall with a 382. Tekamah-Herman won the meet with a team score of 331.
Clarkson sophmore Dexter Indra said, “All of us had a bad start on the front 9, but pulled it together in the back 9.”
