Girls Golf Swing for 2nd at First Meet
On Tuesday, Sep 2nd, the Patriot girls’ golf team hosted a triangular at Club 91 Golf Course. The triangular teams consisted of Clarkson-Leigh, Norfolk Catholic, and Stanton. It was a beautiful day for both Varsity and JV to play out 9 holes.
As a team the Patriots finished 2nd out of the 3 teams, shooting a 223. Elizabeth Hoffman got a great start to the season by shooting a 51 and tying for 2nd with Emerson Vogel from Stanton. Hannah Bar from Norfolk Catholic shot a 49, leading her to first.
Stanton shot first with 217 and Norfolk Catholic finished 3rd with a 227.
“I was really excited to start off the season with a home match—the odds were in our favor and it’s really amazing to see how well we all did. I think it’s a precursor for more success to come this season and I can't wait to get out on the course some more with my girls,” the one and only Elizabeth Hoffman said.
Coach Mrs. Morfeld said, “The girls have done a great job so far this season. We are all really proud of the growth all of our girls are making!"
