JV VBall Loses to Howells-Dodge

By: Tanyn Larson, a freshman at Leigh High School

The Patriot JV volleyball team battled out a game Monday, October 5, against Howells-Dodge. Unfortunately, they lost in two sets.

Although the Patriots didn’t win, they gained a lot of learning opportunities as the night progressed. The first set of the game ended 16-25, but the second set was much closer with a score of 24-26.

JV coach, Jennifer Remmereid, said, “Our JV team battled against Howells-Dodge. The first set could've been better, but we adjusted and were more focused in the second set. It's a good experience for our JV team to have played Howells-Dodge, who had several varsity players on the court. It raises the level of competitiveness and expectations as we get closer to the end of our season."

Freshman JV player, Gracie Eisenmamn, said, “I thought at the beginning we came out slow, but I also felt we adjusted as the game progressed. We found areas that we still need to work on, and we will continue to work at them in practice.”
