JV Volleyball Takes One Win, One Loss in Triangular Match
The JV volleyball team hit the court strong in Monday’s triangular against Madison and Stanton. In the first match, they played with energy and focus, beating Madison in two sets, 25-14 and 25-10. Strong serving and good teamwork helped them take control early and stay ahead.
Right after, they faced Stanton. This match was more challenging. The team lost the first set 13-25, but showed more fight in the second, keeping it close before falling 21-25.
Junior opposite hitter Ava Baumert said, “In the first game, we had really good energy and played very well together. In the second game, we had some ups and downs. We need to work on our serve receive because we had some uncharacteristic mistakes.”
Coach Hiatt added, “Against Madison, we played well by staying in system and being aggressive throughout the match. Stanton challenged us with tough serving, and we struggled in serve receive, which kept us from finding a rhythm. Despite getting down in the second set, we showed great fight and nearly battled all the way back. We’ll use this opportunity to grow and improve as we look ahead to the Wisner JV Tournament.”
The team will use both games to learn and get ready for the next one.
