Patriots Down Pendragons in Exciting Match
The Patriots had an exciting matchup against Pender Thursday September 11th.
The JV started the night of success off with a 3-0 win. Sophomore Sadie Brabec said “It was a good game to play different spots we usually don't play and we all worked together to take the win.”
The girls started on a high note by winning both the first and second sets. Unfortunately, they couldn’t carry out that high to the third or the fourth set, leaving them deadlocked 2-2. The girls were able to finish up the final set on top to secure the win. As of tonight, their record is 8-3.
To wrap up the night of success, senior Kendall Schneider from the Patriots hit a career goal of 1,000 assists in the matchup.
Junior Reese Wietfeld said, “The Pender game was a great game for us! We came out strong in the first set and when it came time for us to finish, we did. We learned to play through and fight harder. It was a great game and we were thrilled to win!”
