C/JV Volleyball vs. Aquinas
In exciting games between Clarkson-Leigh and David City Aquinas, the C an JV volleyball teams battled on September 24. The C team took a loss, but the JV grabbed a win.
Freshman Kennedy Settjie led the JVs with 8 kills, and junior Cassie Brabec led the C team with 3 kills. Junior Brittney Urbanek had a total of 2 aces on JV and freshman Makenna Held recorded 2 on C team.
“We came out our first set a little slow; our second set we played our game and we played really well together as a team. Hopefully we will have more exciting games like that for the rest of our season,” sophomore Kayden Schumacher said.
“C team worked on making plays by doing the little things right. They had a great start and fought hard but could not finish,” Assistant Coach Briana Wietfeld said. JVs had a great battle where we started off a bit rough but really brought it the next two sets. We started to limit our errors and got aggressive. We were hitting and blocking machines. The hard work resulted in a win for our JVs.”
