JV VB Plays at Wisner
On Saturday, September 12th, the Panther JV Volleyball team traveled northeast to Wisner to participate in a tournament. The girls had three games to play versus Madison, Pierce, and Wayne. The first game they played was Madison. They swept them in 2, as they had already played them earlier in the season. Next was Pierce. They were definitely the more challenging team compared to Madison.
The first set the Panthers fell short, but then gained the win when they won the second and then the third. After Pierce, the ladies had to play Wayne. In the first set Wayne took the win but the Panthers won the second. With the sets being tied the third set was played. Unfortunately, the Wayne Blue Devils took the win. The girls played very well as a team and are looking good going forward.
Mrs. Hann said, “The JV Wisner tournament went super well! I am so happy with how the girls fought and played! We got through a lot of different lineups and the girls handled all the changes super well! We beat Pierce in three and Madison in two. We unfortunately lost in a close three set match against Wayne but that match does not take away from how the girls played and competed. Overall, I am super happy with all of their efforts and I am excited for the years to come with these girls!”
Outside hitter, Avery Kuester also said, “The tournament went very well for us. We went up against some competition that definitely pushed us. We all had very good energy throughout the whole game which led us to victory.”
