JH GBB Starts season
The junior high girls’ basketball season is in full swing. The girls began their season at
the Humphrey tournament on November 18, which only the A team played. They lost to Battle
Creek 14-47 and Wayne 6-38.
Their next game was against David City Aquinas on November 27th where the A team
lost 15-42 and the B team also lost 6-37. Their third game was in Wayne on November 30. The
A team lost 18-54 and B team lost 4-37.
Assistant coach Melissa Brabec stated, “This year we have 16 girls out for Junior High
basketball. The girls are working hard as we are focusing on improving our fundamental skills
as basketball players. We have had a tough start, but we want to see improvement throughout
each basketball game, which will lead to a successful season!”
8th Grader Sadie Brabec stated, “Over the past 3 games, I think we are learning a lot
and becoming better and better after each game.”
