Patriots Drop Two

The boys’ basketball team battled against David City Aquinas at home in Clarkson on January 2nd. 
The Patriots kept it close after the first quarter, down 7-8. Aquinas opened it up in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Pats 16-6 and led 24-13 heading into halftime. 
The Patriots tried to battle back in the second half but were unable to climb out of the hole they were in. Aquinas outscored Clarkson-Leigh 31-21 in the second half to win 55-36.
    After a tough loss to Aquinas, the boys traveled to North Bend to face the Tigers on January 4th. The boys came out firing in the first quarter and kept it close, getting outscored 16-11. The second quarter was not the Patriots, as the Tigers scored 23 to the Patriots 12. 
North Bend entered the second half leading 39-23. A great second half battle took place as the Patriots battled the whole time but were unable to pull out a win, dropping the game 44-69.
As of these games, the Patriot boys are still hungry for their first win this year.
